Hoof treatment for the donkeys

The donkeys also require our assistance and care. They are notably strong and resilient, as well as independent and sturdy in their own right. However, their hooves particularly necessitate attention. Given that the terrain in Kenya is primarily sandy, clayey, and generally earthy—with minimal rockiness or hardness—the hooves of these animals do not wear down naturally. Consequently, the donkeys' hooves continue to grow longer and longer. Much like human fingernails and toenails, when the hooves become excessively large, these unfortunate animals can no longer walk and suffer significant pain. As a result, their hooves should be trimmed approximately four times each year.
